The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears had their first meeting of the 2024 season in Chicago on Sunday afternoon. In Caleb Williams’ debut against his biggest rivals in the league, he kept the Bears in it until the very end, but the Packers came out victorious after blocking the would-be game-winning field goal. Take a look at the highlights from both sides of the ball.

Jordan Love and Jayden Reed connect to put the Packers on the board quickly

The Packers offense started hot, getting the ball out quickly and taking advantage of a lackluster Bears run defense. Jordan Love caught the Bears (who were also offsides) with 12 men on the field, and threw a dart to Jayden Reed in the endzone for the first points of the game.

Cox has a HUGE SACK

Preston Smith’s replacement, Brenton Cox, had a tackle for a loss earlier in the game, and keeps it going with a big sack on Bears QB Caleb Williams.

Jordan Love throws a very un-clutch endzone interception

The Packers were in prime position to extend their lead, and Jordan Love made a very weird throw right into the arms of Bears’ DB Terell Smith. NOT IDEAL.

Caleb Williams has legs, apparently

During the first half of play, the Packers just keep letting the #1 overall pick run, and run, and run. I’ve always said Caleb Williams is just Michael Vick in a different skinsuit.

For the first time in one month, the Bears find the endzone

The Packers made it difficult (or did they make it easy?), but after a ton of dramatics, the Bears found the endzone for the first time in 25 drives. Bears on top, 10-7.

Josh Jacobs gets a career highlight with his 50th career rushing TD

The Packers bounced back quickly after the Bears extended their lead, and with Josh Jacobs’ 50th rushing TD, found themselves back on top.
