The Packers’ head coach gave his year-end press conference on Tuesday.
The locker room is cleaned out, exit interviews are over, and all that remains is the long wait for the NFL Draft.
Welcome to the offseason.
Matt LaFleur ushered us into the offseason with his season-ending press conference on Tuesday, sharing his final thoughts on the 2024 Green Bay Packers. In a typically wide-ranging discussion, LaFleur spoke on Jordan Love, the state of the Packers’ offense, this year’s defensive improvement, and much more has he capped off the Packers’ abrupt exit from the playoffs.
LaFleur and the offense will draw a fair measure of criticism for how they finished this season, and he acknowledged that criticism in his presser, as he has all season. But LaFleur’s “it’s on me” refrain could wear thin at some point, if it hasn’t already. How much can be “on him” if it doesn’t ever seem to get fixed?
It’s a lot to think about in what’s going to be a very long offseason.
