The Green Bay Packers are coming off of two of their best performances of the season. After two straight blowout wins at home against the 49ers and Dolphins, Titletown is beginning to look more like a team that can compete for a title. With the Detroit Lions advancing to 11-1 and the Minnesota Vikings looking to improve to 10-2 on Sunday, the last five games for Green Bay are crucial if the team hopes to attain their 22nd NFC North title and easier playoff matchups.
After going 3-1 in November, the Packers look to start the month of December victorious in a rematch against the team they fell to in November. Here are game predictions for the Packers as they take on the top team in the NFL, two playoff-hungry teams in the NFC, and two more division rivals to round out the regular season.
Green Bay Packers Predictions for Game Matchups and Player Performances for December
Detroit Lions
In the November predictions, the Lions were projected to come out on top by two scores, which they did. However, Detroit did not play up to their standards offensively against Green Bay. Much of the reason the Packers lost this game came from poor decision-making, poor execution, and mistakes on the offensive side of the ball. One poor throw from Jordan Love at the end of the half in a 10-3 game gave the Lions a touchdown going into the second half, where they would receive the ball and utilize that momentum to make it 24-3 and go on to win 24-14.
In the last two games, Jordan Love has not turned the ball over. He is more than prepared to take on a Super Bowl-caliber team. Book the upset.
Prediction: Packers 27, Lions 23
10-3
Seattle Seahawks
Green Bay travels to Lumen Field to face the top dog of the NFC West after they defeated the Arizona Cardinals. Although Kenneth Walker III has had no problem getting into the end zone, the Seahawks run game has been one of the worst in the league, averaging under 90 yards a game.
In the air, DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba have been difficult for opposing defenses to maintain. The passing offense is among the top 10 in yards and completion percentage, but struggles translating that into points, as Geno Smith as just as many interceptions as touchdown passes this year. While the Seahawks will give themselves many opportunities to score in this game, it just will not be enough.
Prediction: Packers 34, Seahawks 27
11-3
New Orleans Saints
The Saints are starting to see more wins under their new head coach, Darren Rizzi. After seven straight losses, the Saints found a way to win their last two games against the Falcons and Browns and keep themselves in the conversation for a playoff spot.
With Alvin Kamara to worry about on offense and a new system that clearly works, New Orleans is not going to make this an easy game to win. However, home field advantage and inevitable cold weather is going to be the deciding factor in the Saints downfall.
Prediction: Packers 20, Saints 10
Packers 12-3
Minnesota Vikings
Early in the season, Green Bay played arguably their worst football in the Week 4 loss against the Minnesota Vikings. In the first half, the Packers defense gave up 28 points, and the offense threw two interceptions, missed two field goals, and turned the ball over on downs once. By the time the second half rolled around, the deficit was too large to come back from as they lost 31-29.
With Josh Jacobs facing the top run defense in the league, look for the Packers to struggle early and rely on their pass game a little too much. Packers fall in a big one on the road.
Prediction: Vikings 30, Packers 22
12-4
Chicago Bears
Even though this game occurs in 2025, inclusion of it is necessary. With the NFC North looking the way it has, expect this to be the most important game of the season for Matt LaFleur and this Green Bay Packers team. A chance at a high seed, home field advantage, and an easier path to the Super Bowl on the line. A loss essentially makes for a difficult Wild Card matchup on the road.
Best believe that Green Bay is giving everything they have in this game to give themselves that edge. Yet, Chicago finds just as much satisfaction making it harder on their long time rivals to have success. This game will come down to the wire as it did when Karl Brooks blocked the Bears game winner. The Packers prevail and knot the NFC North up in a three way tie for first place.
Prediction: Packers 16, Bears 13
Packers 13-4, Lions 13-4, Vikings 13-4
Packers Predictions for Offensive Player of the Month
Jordan Love
Love is beginning to take care of the football. Green Bay’s offense has been pulling it together over the last few games, and Love is the primary reason. Expect him to add on to these improvements as games become more important to win in December.
Packers Predictions for Defensive Player of the Month
Quay Walker
Upon return from injury a few weeks ago, Walker’s presence has certainly been felt. Walker shows up and shows out in important game time situations as he did last week on 4th and goal, sacking quarterback Tua Tagovailoa at a crucial point in the game. Walker is a playmaker and will continue to be as the Packers get closer to the end of the season.
