After two strong years playing for the Las Vegas Raiders, but no postseason success, could star wide receiver Davante Adams be interested in a return to Green Bay with the surging Packers?
One of Adams’ former teammates is certainly hoping he is. Per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, Packers running back Josh Jacobs – who played the last two seasons with Adams in Las Vegas – has been nudging Adams towards coming back to his former team.
“The receiving corps is crazy, man. I’m so excited just watching them. Any one of them can go at any moment,” Jacobs said. “When I came out here… I sent (Adams) the little eyes emoji. I said, ‘You thinking about coming back?’ But man, he loved it.”
Adams has publicly stated that he’s fine with the way things are and how they played out with him forcing the trade to the Raiders two years ago. But he did also acknowledge that the team is on the upswing, particularly now that quarterback Jordan Love is playing at such a high level.
At 31 years of age and with just a couple of years left on his current contract, maybe a reunion with the Packers is somewhere on the horizon.
But that reunion doesn’t appear to be happening this year.
