The last time the Green Bay Packers played a Thanksgiving Day game, they put the world on notice as they defeated the Detroit Lions at home in 2023. The NFL decided the people needed to see more, and the Packers once again put together a standout performance as they defeated the Miami Dolphins by a score of 30-17. Just when the disappointment from the failed first drive kicks in, Robert Rochell recovers the muffed punt, and suddenly the Packers are within scoring distance.

The Packers get on the board quickly to take the lead

They may not have gotten down the field in the traditional way, but we take these things as they come. Jordan Love and Jayden Reed connect on a nice little touchdown pass for the first points of the game, and the Packers are up 7-0.

Josh Jacobs picks up where he left off a few days ago, and finds his way back into the endzone

The Packers eat up a ton of clock on their third drive of the game, with a ton of effort from RBs Josh Jacobs and Emanuel Wilson. Jacobs is able to get back into the endzone for his 8th rushing touchdown of the season. Can he hit double digits today with another hat trick against Joe Barry’s rushing defense?

The Packers let the Dolphins get close with a fourth down conversion

In what ended up being a chaotic Dolphins drive, the Packers left Jaylen Waddle wide open and gave up a big fourth down conversion. After a big couple of defensive plays which included a huge tackle for a loss by Arron Mosby, the Dolphins settled for a FG, and the Packers lead 14-3.

JAYDEN REED, THE MAN THAT YOU ARE

The Packers don’t have their own Deebo Samuel. The 49ers have their own Jayden Reed. Jayden Reed creates an explosive play with a big pickup of 23 yards.

Back to back, more like SACK 2 SACK

Lukas Van Ness and JJ Enagbare have sacks on back to back plays, and the Dolphins are forced to punt, giving the Packers the ball for their fifth drive of the half.

As the Dolphins try to get within FG range with an expiring clock, Isaiah McDuffie forces an incompletion and 4th down with a huge hit. The Dolphins fail to convert, and the Packers get the ball back for one last shot before halftime. On a perfectly executed drive which took 22 seconds, the Packers add three more points to their total. Halftime: Packers up, 24-3.

Christian Watson hauls in another dot from Jordan Love

Jordan Love’s favorite deep threat shows us who he is with a diving catch for a 46 yard pickup, and the Packers are a step closer to extending their lead. The team’s first drive of the second half ends with a FG by Brandon McManus.
