The Green Bay Packers want to lock up quarterback Jordan Love long-term this offseason.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the two sides are expected to engage in talks once the season is over and Love is expected to sign a deal with the Packers.
“My understanding is he enters the final year of his contract. Again, the Packers and Love’s representation are expected to address this this coming spring. Do not be surprised if he does get that massive franchise quarterback-type contract extension and the further he goes in the playoffs, the richer he’s going to be,” Rapoport said.

Love will get a nice raise after he had one heck of a regular season. It was his first full season as the starter and he made it count. He finished with 4,159 yards through the air and 32 touchdowns.
He then built upon those numbers last Sunday when he threw for 272 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-32 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
If he has another great performance against the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday night, his price will go up even higher this offseason.
