As the Packers close in on a 2024 playoff appearance, who stood out in their most recent win?
Maybe one day, the Packers won’t have a primetime game and I can finish this Winners/Losers list that day, instead of going to bed because I’m a sleepy baby. Last night, the Green Bay Packers faced off against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday Night Football, and emerged victorious as they are just one win away from making the 2024 playoffs. With their 30-13 win as the away team, the Packers broke the 15-year-old cycle of home teams winning every Green Bay/Seattle matchup. Let’s dive into the standouts from this big win.
Winner: Romeo Doubs
In his first return to action since sustaining a concussion against the 49ers on November 24th, Romeo Doubs looked like his old self, and had the catch of the night as he put the game away in the 4th quarter. I do not know how he caught this ball.
Romeo oh Romeo what a touchdown!

Doubs and his strong hands have been sorely missed the last two games, and to make up for it, he scored twice last night. He finished the night catching 3 of 5 targets for 40 yards and 2 TDs. Strong hands + strong legs = Romeo Doubs.

Winner: Jordan Love
Jordan Love started last night’s game 17/18 (94% completion), and Toyotathon keeps on rolling. He looked calm, composed, and completely in control while under center, and made some beautiful throws to his receivers. The second Romeo Doubs touchdown was truly thrown only where he could get it, and that’s not by some stroke of luck. He’s getting better.
Jordan Love recorded a 57.1% success rate in the Packers 30-13 victory over the Seahawks, the 5th-highest of his career.
Love has had 3 of his 5 highest success rates of his career come since the Packers Week 10 bye.

Jordan Love and Christian Watson are starting to click, and that should scare opposing defenses. A deep ball to Christian Watson in the postseason is on my 2025 wishlist, and I need it bad.

Love finished the night 20/27 (74% completion) for 229 yards, 2 TDs, and no INTs or sacks taken. Like last season, he’s getting hot at the right time. In fact, over the last five weeks, he hasn’t just been good. He’s been elite.

Winner: Jayden Reed
For the last few weeks, Packers fans have found themselves asking “Where is Jayden Reed?” Last night, he accumulated his highest yardage total since November 3rd, and it seems like they’re still getting him going.
The Packers lead the NFL with 10 rushing 1st downs and 8 explosive gains on designed runs to their WRs this season, per @TruMediaSports. Three offenses are tied in 2nd with 4 explosive runs. Jayden Reed now has 6. https://t.co/E8wZbHavZQ pic.twitter.com/wKonVT4Rh7

Reed saw a little more action in the run game than we’ve seen from him in the past, nabbing 3 carries for 27 yards in addition to his 34 receiving yards on 5 catches. He’s proven to be one of the more electric players in the NFL, and as the season goes on, I think we’ll get some of that spark back. It’s not his fault the Packers have realized giving Josh Jacobs touches is usually successful (what fumble? I don’t know what you’re talking about.)
Winner: Pass Rush
No losers!! Especially not the Green Bay pass rush, who saw 6 players combine for 7 total sacks. Leading the way was JJ Enagbare with 2 sacks, and then Edgerrin Cooper, Rashan Gary, Brenton Cox, Devonte Wyatt, and Karl Brooks with 1 sack each. Safety Xavier McKinney was interviewed after the game, and gave them all their flowers, saying they’ve been making his job “boring”, and easy. The most sacks the Packers have gotten in one game is 9. This season, they’ve now had a game with 8 sacks (against Tennessee) and 7. The last time they reached 7 sacks in one game was 2020. It’s been a while, but the pass rush is back.

Next up for the Green Bay Packers is yet another primetime matchup, this time on Monday Night Football as they face off against the New Orleans Saints, who will likely be without starting QB Derek Carr. With a win, the Packers will be in the playoffs. It seems expected at this point, but as we know all too well, nothing in the NFL is guaranteed (except a Chiefs AFC Championship appearance). Can the Packers make it back to the playoffs for the second year in a row?
