Alright let’s wrap this up
The Green Bay Packers have fully controlled their game against the New Orleans Saints so far, as they hold a 21-0 lead with a time of possession of 19:07 in the first half. Running back Josh Jacobs is the star of the show so far, turning 10 carries for 53 yards and a score and adding three receptions for 63 yards.
Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler, making his first outdoor start in his career, has completed all of four passes and has a net passing total of 39 yards on 10 dropbacks. Unaccounted for in those stats is the sack-fumble that he gave up in the second quarter. On top of that, Rattler’s final sack of the half pushed New Orleans out of the field goal range, leading to a failed Hail Mary attempt.
Outside of a Foster Moreau screen and a throw over the middle of the field to him, the Saints haven’t been able to get much going offensively. Meanwhile, the Packers scored on their first three drives of the game and have only punted once.
As a reminder, Green Bay will punch in a ticket to the playoffs with a win tonight. Hopefully, the second half flies by.
