Packers tight end Luke Musgrave has been sidelined since Nov. 19 due to a lacerated kidney. He suffered that brutal injury after landing awkwardly on the football after making a catch in the third quarter.
Despite lacerating his kidney, Musgrave stayed in the game in large part because football players are insanely tough.
“I knew something was probably wrong, but I mean, that’s kind of football,” Musgrave said. “You play through pain and then it usually hurts a little more after the game.”
Musgrave didn’t realize something was seriously wrong until he got home and noticed blood in his urine.
“I went to the bathroom [and] knew,” Musgrave said, via ESPN. “I put the pieces together pretty quickly, kind of knew that was a problem, called [head athletic trainer Bryan] ‘Flea’ [Engel], asked him if I had to go to the ER. He said yes, so I went and then it turned out, getting worse overnight, so I had to stay an extra night.”
Luke Musgrave played through a lacerated kidney Week 11.

Started pissing blood at home.

Even though Musgrave is only a month removed from his injury, he believes he could play again this season.
