The Green Bay Packers did not have their top cornerback at practice on Wednesday.
Jaire Alexander missed practice with an ankle injury after he tweaked it during Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. He originally hurt it during practice last week but was still able to play despite the injury.
Head coach Matt LaFleur is hoping that Alexander will be a bit better on Thursday since he’s currently getting treatment for the injury.
“He’s doing better. He’s getting treatment and we’ll see where he’s at tomorrow,” LaFleur said.

Alexander finished Sunday’s game with seven total tackles (three solo), an interception, and a pass defended.
If he can return to practice, that’ll go a long way toward his chances of playing in San Francisco against the 49ers on Saturday night.
Kickoff will be at 8:15 p.m. ET on FOX.
