The Green Bay Packers have a big game ahead of them on Thursday against the NFC North-leading Detroit Lions.
At 4-6, the Packers are attempting to get back into the playoff picture in the conference, while the Lions will be looking to create more separation in the division.
Green Bay made a significant move on Wednesday, signing a running back to their active roster one day before the Thanksgiving matchup with the Lions.
With Aaron Jones unlikely to play due to a knee injury, the Packers signed veteran back James Robinson to the active roster from their practice squad.

Robinson has been with the team twice this season, and now he’ll finally get an opportunity to play with the active roster.
Robinson is a former 1,000-yard rusher, reaching the milestone in his rookie season with the Jaguars.
The undrafted back out of Illinois State joined the Jaguars in 2020 and emerged as the team’s top back.
A torn Achilles late in the 2021 season and the emergence of Travis Etienne caused the Jaguars to go in another direction at running back, and they made the decision to trade Robinson to the Jets last October.
He filled in for Breece Hall following his own season-ending injury.
With Robinson now on the Packers, he will once again be called on to replace an injured running back in Jones.
Green Bay will attempt to win consecutive games for the first time this season on Thursday after their close win over the Chargers last Sunday.
