The Green Bay Packers have signed a new kicker to compete with Anders Carlson.
Per Fan Nation’s Bill Huber, the Packers have signed former Georgia kicker Jack Podlesny. It comes just a few days after Carlson missed a 41-yard field goal that would’ve pushed the Packers’ lead to seven in the fourth quarter against the San Francisco 49ers.

Podlesny was Georgia’s kicker from 2020-22 and was one of the best kickers in the country before he graduated. He made 182-of-184 extra points and 60-of-73 field goals.
His best individual season came in 2022 when he made 73-of-74 extra points and 26-of-31 field goals.
He ended up going undrafted in last year’s draft but he still signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent. He spent part of the offseason with them and part of training camp before he was cut last August.
Let’s see what he can do with his new team.
