The Green Bay Packers are dealing with some injuries at the running back position but are still releasing a veteran from the position ahead of Sunday’s playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys.
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the Packers have released running back Kenyan Drake from their practice squad. Drake has appeared in one game for the Packers this season and in two games for the Ravens.
Drake has two receptions for 31 yards this season and one carry with no yards.
The Packers are likely to be without dual-threat running back AJ Dillon this weekend. Dillon was listed as doubtful today.

Just a few years ago Kenyan Drake was a solid running back who could consistently get yards in both the run game and passing game.
Between 2018 and 2020, he scored 27 touchdowns and had over 3,200 yards from scrimmage in stints with the Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals.
Drake spent the 2020 season with the Cardinals, the 2021 season with the Las Vegas Raiders and the 2022 season with the Baltimore Ravens.
