Green Bay Packers quarterbacks Jordan Love and Malik Willis both were full participants during Thursday’s practice after being limited on Wednesday.
Love is dealing with a right elbow injury, while Willis has a right thumb injury coming out of the season finale. Both right-handed quarterbacks took a big step toward playing in Sunday’s NFC Wild Card game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Coach Matt LaFleur said Love “looked good” at practice on Thursday.
Love suffered a nerve injury in his elbow after falling to the ground in the second quarter last Sunday at Lambeau Field. He lost feeling in his hand and fingers, but Love said he had already regained feeling by Monday morning this week.
Full participation at Thursday’s practice should mean Love is good to go without limitation for Sunday’s playoff game in Philadelphia. The second-year starter would make his third career playoff start if he’s indeed ready to go for Sunday.
The Packers should have Willis as the backup option as well. He was having issues gripping the football as recently as Wednesday after taking a hit on his right thumb against the Bears.
Defensive lineman T.J. Slaton also returned to practice after missing Wednesday. He was limited on Thursday.
The Packers will put out an updated injury report on Thursday but issuing a final injury report with playing status designations on Friday.
