Green Bay takes Ole Miss receiver Tre Harris in the second round of our community mock
Well, the last round was pretty decisive. In a near-disaster situation, Green Bay Packers fans rallied together to name their second-round break in case of an emergency selection: Mississippi receiver Tre Harris.
Harris is an interesting selection for the Packers because he is “Packer sized” at 6’2” and 205 pounds but lacks the deep speed that Green Bay will be missing with the loss of Christian Watson to an ACL tear. Harris, a former Louisiana Tech transfer, ran a 4.54-second 40-yard dash at the combine in Indianapolis this year but did post an impressive 38.5” vertical.
Tre Harris led the country with a silly 5.12 yards per route run in 2024, more than a full yard of the next closest receiver in this class.

Over the last two seasons, Harris recorded 2,015 receiving yards and 15 receiving touchdowns, all while averaging 17.7 yards per reception with the Rebels. Prior to his run in Mississippi, he spent three years at Louisiana Tech, where he recorded 106 receptions for 1,517 yards and 14 scores. Despite spending five years at the college level, Harris only turned 23 years old in February.
Here’s an interesting fact about Harris: He was actually a high school quarterback, not a receiver. Instead, his high school team’s number one wideout was actually Malik Nabers, who was drafted sixth overall by the New York Giants in the 2024 draft.

As a reminder, fans chose Oregon defensive tackle Derrick Harmon as the Packers’ first-round pick in this mock draft, so the defensive tackle and receiver positions have been addressed already. No one is stopping you from voting on a double dip, but just keep those picks in mind.
