Tis the season. Now that the Green Bay Packers season is over, it’s officially draft season at 1265 Lombardi Avenue. The 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay is officially 101 days away. Let’s take a look at who the Packers selected in my latest two-round mock draft.
24th overall: Shemar Stewart, DL, Texas A&M
This season, Green Bay’s pass rush was up and down under first-year defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley. Rashan Gary and Lukas Van Ness combined for 10.5 sacks and 67 pressures. Nobody is giving up on that duo, and they’d even tell you they need to improve.
The Packers can take a page out of the book from the team that knocked them out of the playoffs by continuing to invest in the defensive line this offseason. Enter Shemar Stewart.
The Texas A&M defensive lineman has a unique blend of power and speed. He’s listed at 6-6, 290 pounds and moves closer to a player like Clay Matthews. Stewart would bring instance juice to Green Bay’s pass rush while providing a powerful presence against the run.
55th overall: Azareye’h Thomas, CB, Florida State
Thomas has all the tools that teams are looking for with his athleticism and size. He uses his length to choke passing windows and disrupt the catch point. The Seminole cornerback is physical and a willing participant in run support.
The Packers need to add a cornerback or three in the offseason. Gutekunst has shown that he’ll attack a position of weakness with ferocity and it’s a safe bet that he’ll add a cornerback early during the 2025 draft and will likely add another or two on Day 3.
