Walker has been ruled out for the rest of the game
Green Bay Packers starting middle linebacker and former first-round pick Quay Walker left action against the Seattle Seahawks and is not expected to return. Late in the first half, Walker went down with a left leg injury and was seen limping off of the field.
Initially, the Packers quickly diagnosed his injury as an ankle issue and listed him as questionable to return. After coming out of the locker room for the second half, though, Green Bay announced that Walker was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
In his place, Green Bay is playing linebacker Eric Wilson at the middle linebacker position. In three-linebacker looks, the Packers are using Isaiah McDuffie and Edgerrin Cooper as outside linebacker, though, the Seahawks play three receivers a majority of the time on offense, so Green Bay is often in its nickel defense with only two linebackers on the field.
Walker has been playing pretty good football for the last three or four games after struggling to fit in the run to start the season. Hopefully, we get some good news about his injury status soon. At this time, there are no updates on his condition.
