Despite overachieving and reaching the Divisional Round of the playoffs this year, the Green Bay Packers have decided that major changes are needed to their coaching staff.
After firing their defensive coordinator earlier this week, they have now fired strength & conditioning coordinator Chris Gizzi. In a statement, head coach Matt LaFleur thanked Gizzi for his time with the organization and wished him the best.
“We appreciate Chris for his dedication and contributions to our success over his time with the Packers,” LaFleur said. “We wish Chris and his family the best moving forward.”
Gizzi played two seasons for the Packers between 2000 and 2001. He went into coaching in 2013 and was hired by the team in 2014 as their strength and conditioning assistant before being promoted to strength and conditioning coordinator in 2019.

The Green Bay Packers went 9-8, surprising many by playing so well in their first year post-Aaron Rodgers, and made the playoffs.
They then shocked the world by not only beating but crushing the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round before narrowly losing to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional round.
Who will the Packers bring on board to replace their fired coaches?
