Only one Green Bay player is receiving recognition
Like many front offices around the league, media members are finalizing their lists of the top free agents available going into the new league year. On Monday, NFL.com’s Gregg Rosenthal dropped his list of the best 101 free agents in 2025, only a few hours after Pro Football Talk dropped their top 100 list.
Both lists only featured one single Green Bay Packer: center Josh Myers. While the Packers’ coaching staff and front office has spoken glowingly about Myers, his contribution to the locker room often comes up frequently over his quality of play. For Rosenthal’s list, Myers ranked as the 37th overall free agent in the class.
Generally, Myers is viewed as one of the top free agent centers, in part because he’s simply available, behind Drew Dalman of the Atlanta Falcons, the big fish in 2025. Honestly, I have to admit that I’m surprised that defensive tackle T.J. Slaton, linebacker Isaiah McDuffie and kicker Brandon McManus aren’t being featured on these lists. All three players have started multiple seasons at the NFL level, and both Slaton and McDuffie are only coming off of their rookie contracts. You’d think that would make them more valuable on the open market than backup quarterbacks, but what do I know?
Below are some of the standout rankings from Rosenthal’s list:
- #3: Milton Williams, Eagles, DT
- #5: Zack Baun, Eagles, LB
