Aaron Jones returned to the field on Thursday night for the Packers, but apparently Matt LaFleur didn’t get the memo.
Jones had just five carries for 18 rushing yards. He also had a reception that actually lost the team four yards.
Throughout last night’s game between the Lions and Packers, NFL fans voiced their frustrations with Jones’ role on social media.
Most people blamed LaFleur for not properly utilizing his Pro Bowl running back.

“I continue to be baffled as to each week we hear Head Coach Matt LaFleur continue to say they need to run the ball more, or need to get Aaron Jones more involved earlier, or need to stay committed to the run like he isn’t the guy holding the call sheet and radioing in the calls,” one person said.

Jones has racked up at least 1,100 yards from scrimmage in each of the past four seasons.
While it’s understandable that LaFleur was trying to monitor Jones’ usage in his first game back from a hamstring injury, six touches against the Lions is not going to cut it.
We’ll see if Jones’ role on offense expands in Week 5 against the Raiders.
