Less than 24 hours after losing to the Giants on “Monday Night Football,” the Packers announced a few roster moves.
For starters, the Packers released cornerback Kyu Blu Kelly. He was selected by the Ravens in the fifth round of this year’s draft.
Kelly, a two-time All-Pac-12 cornerback, was waived by the Ravens in August. He then had a brief stint with the Seahawks before hitting waivers a second time.
In six games this season, Kelly has logged 43 snaps. All but one of them have been on special teams.
Perhaps the next team Kelly lands on will provide him an opportunity to play cornerback.

In addition to releasing Kelly, the Packers signed wide receiver Thyrick Pitts to the practice squad. They also released linebacker Austin Ajiake.
Despite falling short to the Giants in Week 14, the Packers are still the seventh seed in the NFC. A win over the Buccaneers this Sunday would dramatically help their playoff chances.
