The Green Bay Packers added another running back amid reports of Aaron Jones missing their Monday Night Football matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Ahead of their Week 5 game, the Packers signed Patrick Taylor from the practice squad. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero said Jones will sit out the contest because of a hamstring injury.

Taylor joined the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2020. The former Memphis standout has played 26 games for them over the past three seasons, including the first three of the 2023 campaign.
The 25-year-old has nine rushes for 29 yards this season and 192 scrimmage yards over his career. Green Bay had to sign Taylor to the active roster after already elevating him from the practice squad three times.
If Jones sits, Taylor will back up AJ Dillon and rookie Emanuel Wilson on the depth chart. They’ll look to revive a floundering rushing attack in the Sin City.
Only their opponents, the Raiders, have amassed fewer rushing yards per game than their 74.5 this season. Jones has already missed two games, and Dillon is averaging just 2.7 yards per carry
ABC and ESPN will televise Monday’s game between the Packers and Raiders, which starts at 8:20 p.m. ET.
