A few big divisional games dominate the early schedule today.
The Green Bay Packers will wait an extra day for their game in week 16, as they are set to host the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.
Ahead of their game, there are 12 matchups on Sunday, with several of them featuring divisional rivals. Arguably the biggest game of the day comes early in the afternoon, as the Washington Commanders host the Philadelphia Eagles. That contest is the only one of the day that features two teams that are both currently in a playoff position, with the Commanders needing a win to avoid the potential of falling into a tie for the final Wild Card spot in the NFC.
Packers fans will surely be interested to see the results of the games featuring their NFC North rivals as well. The division-leading Lions, who finally lost last week to the Buffalo Bills, are in Chicago to face the Bears. Then in the late afternoon time slot, the Minnesota Vikings follow the Packers’ trip out to Seattle last week with one of their own as they head to the Pacific Northwest.
The Packers would love to see Minnesota drop this game, as that could give Green Bay a chance to catch the Vikings for the 5th seed by winning on Monday night and then beating Minnesota next Sunday.
