After a midweek dip, the spread is back up to a field goal as of Friday.
It’s getting close to being time for the Green Bay Packers to take on the San Francisco 49ers in the teams’ week 12 matchup, as Green Bay looks for some revenge for several recent playoff losses. The Packers are slight home favorites this week, as the line has moved quite a bit in both directions over the past few days.
After opening the week as 2.5-point favorites, the spread dropped to Packers -1.5 on Fanduel as of Thursday. However, with Brock Purdy leaving Thursday’s practice amid concerns about shoulder and elbow issues, as well as questions lingering about several key 49ers players. Nick Bosa, Trent Williams, and Charvarius Ward, that line has rebounded. As of Friday morning, the line is back up to Packers -3.
The Packers are sure to remain favorites by kickoff, which would make this Sunday’s game the first time in more than two years that the 49ers are underdogs. San Francisco has been favored in every game since week 8 of 2022, when they were 2.5-point dogs on the road against the Los Angeles Rams. That two-year span of being favorites includes the Super Bowl last year, when they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs as two-point favorites.
Will the Packers prove the sportsbooks right and win by a field goal or more, or will San Francisco head home victorious and with renewed vigor for a playoff spot? Check out our picks below and keep it here all weekend for full coverage of the game!
