The tall, speedy wideout has been a popular mock draft pick for the Packers on day two and is likely in town for a medical evaluation.
Sometimes, the best sources about pre-draft visits are players themselves. On Wednesday, we have the name of yet another prospect visiting the Green Bay Packers on the final day that in-person visits are allowed, and this is a particularly intriguing prospect who plays a position to which the Packers are devoting massive resources.
The player is wide receiver Tory Horton out of Colorado State University, who posted a story to Instagram showing his walk into Lambeau Field:

Horton, who had a highly productive career for the Rams after transferring from Nevada, where he was a teammate of current Packers receiver Romeo Doubs for two seasons. He put up just shy of 1,000 yards in two years for Nevada, then exploded in his first year in Fort Collins with 71 catches, 1,131 yards, and eight touchdowns for Colorado State. In 2023, he followed that up with a conference-leading 96 receptions, gaining 1,136 yards and scoring another 8 touchdowns.
Horton’s senior season was cut short by injury, however, as he played just six games in 2024 due to a knee injury. That injury is likely a reason for his visit to Green Bay, who will surely be interested in Horton as a big, fast boundary receiver.
At the Scouting Combine in February, Horton was healthy enough to participate in several drills, running exceptionally well in the 40-yard dash. Horton’s 4.41-second dash and 1.53-second time in the first 10 yards were among the best at the combine, and he also put up excellent vertical and broad jump marks (the broad at his Pro Day) while standing 6-foot-2-1/2 and weighing 196 pounds.
Currently ranked as the 105th-best overall prospect on the consensus draft board, Horton could be an option for the Packers late on day two of the 2025 NFL Draft, particularly if his knee checks out during today’s visit.
