The franchise’s all-time leading scorer shared a note across social media following his official retirement from the NFL
In case you missed it, the Green Bay Packer’s all-time leading scorer in franchise history, Mason Crosby, officially retired this week. While the kicker initially announced his plans to retire back in February, it didn’t become official until this week when he signed a one-day contract with the team to retire as a Packer.
In a post on social media, Crosby shouted out the city of Green Bay and Packers fans for the memories he made during his time with the team. Specifically, Crosby called it a “blessing and privilege” to be part of the Green Bay Packers and reflected on seeing his family grow throughout the 16 years he played in a Packers uniform. Crosby also said he’ll continue to be an ambassador for Green Bay, despite no longer living there year-round, and wants to focus on “helping vital groups in the community.” He included a thank you to fans, the organization, and his former teammates for the support, opportunity, and friendships he’s made throughout his career. Crosby ended the note saying “Once a Packer always a Packer!”

Crosby’s contract with the Packers ended following the 2022 season and the team elected not to re-sign him after 16 seasons with the team. He went on to have small stints with the Los Angeles Rams and the New York Giants over the next few seasons but only played in 3 regular season games during that time.
