The Packers won’t just be without All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari for this Thursday’s game against the Lions, they won’t have him at their disposal for at least the next four games.
Moments ago, the Packers placed Bakhtiari on injured reserve.
Bakhtiari, a three-time Pro Bowler, has been dealing with a knee injury. The Packers are hoping time away from the field will help him inch closer to full strength.
That being said, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said it’s “unclear when or if Bakhtiari will return this season.”
The #Packers are placing All-Pro LT David Bakhtiari on Injured Reserve, knocking him out at least the next four games, per me and @TomPelissero. But given his knee situation, it’s unclear when or if Bakhtiari will return this season. pic.twitter.com/l6A2iDAE3N

Bakhtiari missed last Sunday’s game against the Saints. Rasheed Walker filled in at left tackle.
For what it’s worth, the Packers will also be without left guard Elgton Jenkins this Thursday against the Lions. That probably means Jordan Love will have to get the ball out of his hands as fast as possible.
Love hasn’t been very accurate this season, but he has been productive. He has 655 passing yards, seven touchdowns and an interception in three games.
