Close out our look at impending free agents with some faces from the NFC South.
With NFL free agency set to open March 12th, we are officially at the end of our look around the league at players who might be a fit with the Green Bay Packers. We’ve seen a ton of defensive linemen and linebackers, some defensive backs, and even a few offensive linemen, but…no receivers! It’s going to stay that way, because the list of players set to hit free agency next week is very stinky. Let’s take a look at the final four teams in the league, the NFC South.
Atlanta Falcons: OL Drew Dalman
With center Josh Myers set to hit free agency, the Packers may find themselves with a hole at one of the most important spots on their offensive line, despite its most recent tenant not playing the best. I know many of us aren’t the biggest fans of Josh Myers, but if the Packers don’t think they can retain him or replace him through the draft, they might want to join the Chicago Bears by getting in on the incoming Drew Dalman bidding war.
26-year-old Dalman missed 8 games last season with an ankle injury, but when he played, he was rather good, allowing just 2 sacks all year. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero predicts Dalman could receive a contract worth between $13 million to $14 million per year, which would make him around the second-highest paid player at the position. The Packers should…probably just re-sign Myers, right?
My first takeaway after watching just a half of Drew Dalman is that he has some elite quickness from the center position.

Carolina Panthers: CB Michael Jackson
Do you know how hard it was to search “Michael Jackson” and find information pertaining to the correct person? SHEESH. Coming off of his strongest season as a pro, 28-year-old Jackson had the third-most passes defensed in the entire league, with 17. His entire career prior? 19. He also had 76 tackles and 2 INTs in 2024, both career highs. At 28, he’s not the long term solution the Packers need at the position, but on a short deal, he may be just what they need as they transition to the next generation.

New Orleans Saints: CB Paulson Adebo
There may be a slight injury concern for Paulson Adebo, who broke his femur during the team’s Week 7 game against Denver. I have to say though, it looks like recovery has gone pretty well. Assuming Adebo is good to go for the start of the 2025 season, the Packers should be all over this signing. Just 25 years old (!), Adebo had 3 picks, 10 passes defensed, and 52 tackles in his 7 starts for the Saints in 2024. He allowed the seventh-lowest passer rating in the league when targeted, 62.4. He’s a playmaker at the top of his game right now, and I’d love to see a fully healthy season out of him in green and gold.
Yeah Paulson Adebo can play for my team any day. pic.twitter.com/IdlaK85Y3d

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: WR Chris Godwin
Remember when I said we’d have no receivers on this list of free agents? JUST KIDDING! Chris Godwin is by no means my first choice to add to the Packers’ receiving room, but I would not be upset with this addition. They’re in need of an established veteran who can coach up the younger guys and make an immediate impact on the field. Though he suffered a pretty gnarly ankle injury in Week 7 of the 2024 season, he should be fully healthy for the start of 2025. His stats through 7 games: 50 receptions for 576 yards (11.5 avg) and 5 TDs. Jordan Love to Chris Godwin would be a pretty fun duo to watch (Jordan Love to DK Metcalf would be more…pretty fun).

This concludes our look at one free agent from every single NFL team, and I am going to take a NAP!
