Aaron Rodgers has received a bunch of criticism over the past few years. Some of it warranted, some of it unnecessary.
During an interview with Zach Gelb of CBS Sports, wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling was asked to share his opinion of Rodgers.
Valdes-Scantling made it known that Rodgers is a great teammate who deeply cares about his teammates.
“He’s one of the greatest teammates you’ll ever find. He cares more about his teammates than the game of football. I think that’s something people don’t really understand because they get this perception of him that he’s this diva or that he’s all about himself,” Valdes-Scantling told Gelb. “That’s the furthest thing from the truth. Aaron has taught me so much, on the field and off the field. He’s such a big advocate of mental health and how you approach life. The things that he’s gone through over the years, he shares that to let you know that he’s human too.”

Valdes-Scantling was teammates with Rodgers on the Green Bay Packers from 2018-2021. He had a career year in 2020, hauling in 33 passes for 690 yards and six touchdowns.
It’s worth noting that Valdes-Scantling is currently a free agent. Perhaps he’ll reunite with Rodgers in New York.
After all, the Jets could use another wide receiver for the 2024 season.
