Fans are coming for an ESPN Milwaukee radio host for his recent commentary leading up to this weekend’s playoff game.
On Wednesday’s episode of “Jen, Gabe & Chewy,” Packers Hall of Famer Mark Chmura suggested that it may be wise of Green Bay to take a late hit penalty on Brock Purdy in order to send a message.
A 15-yard penalty — and I don’t condone this but I kinda do in the playoffs — a 15-yard penalty for a late hit on Brock Purdy is not a bad thing as long as it’s worth it. I’m just sayin’ … Sometimes a 15-yard penalty is worth it early in the game if you knock the living crap out of the guy and then he’s like ‘Ahhh… I’m hearing ghosts.’
Absolutely disgusting – ESPN radio calls for the #Packers to purposely hit #49ers QB Brock Purdy late during their playoff game, even taking penalties, to potentially injure him.

Here’s how people reacted to the Super Bowl champ’s comments on Twitter:
“Grow up Peter Pan,” a user replied. “You act like the players are listening and going ‘well, the guys on ESPN radio said to do it [shrugs].’

Chmura was a three-time Pro Bowl tight end for the Packers in a different era of football from 1993-1999.
Needless to say, his idea hasn’t received a ton of support from his audience.
