To nobody’s surprise, the Las Vegas Raiders are a train wreck, and superstar wide receiver Davante Adams has subtly hinted that he wants a trade. Following their Week 3 loss, the three-time First-Team All-Pro unloaded on his current team, saying that the team is “not doing things the right way to establish a winning culture.” Currently sitting at 1-2 and with their lone win coming in a one-point victory over the 0-3 Denver Broncos, it’s safe to say that Adams’ criticism is justified.
At the end of the day, the Raiders are going nowhere fast, and nobody should be too surprised that the 30-year-old Adams doesn’t want to spend his final years on a losing team. Las Vegas should be looking to build for the future, and several contenders should be willing to give up a decent amount of draft picks for the superstar wide receiver’s services. The only question is, which teams make the most sense for a Davante Adams trade?
5 Teams That Could Trade For Davante Adams
Buffalo Bills
Josh Allen is one of the best quarterbacks in football, and Stefon Diggs is one of the most dangerous wide receivers in the game. These two make a strong foundation for an elite passing attack, and the solid supporting cast of Gabriel Davis, rookie Dalton Kincaid, and Dawson Knox ensures that the Bills will have a top-10 offense. However, that might not be enough. The Miami Dolphins are simply unstoppable through the air, and the Bills should look to add another weapon if they want to keep pace with that insane passing attack. Davante Adams is easily the best receiver on the trade market and could be the missing piece for this team.

Cleveland Browns
There is a real chance that Deshaun Watson never looks like the same guy his Houston Texans days. However, he doesn’t need to be an elite quarterback for this team to compete. The Browns defense is one of the best in football, the offensive line is solid, and Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore are a solid wide receiver duo. However, they’re missing a true stud on the outside who can dominate in the red zone and effectively be Watson’s new DeAndre Hopkins. Davante Adams is a perfect fit for this role, and the Browns are all-in on 2023, so they might as well see if they can trade for him.
Green Bay Packers
Two years after his trade to the desert, Davante Adams could make his way back to Green Bay. Despite all the youth on the roster, the Packers are off to a hot start and could easily take the NFC North crown. While Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs seem like the future of the position, this team could use a proven veteran to help on the outside. We already know that Davante Adams is a perfect fit for Matt LaFleur’s offense and he should be a plug-and-play upgrade for a surprise contender.
Los Angeles Chargers
It’s easy to see why the Los Angeles Chargers would want to trade for Davante Adams. After the Mike Williams injury, the team needs another reliable receiver on the outside if they want to compete in the crowded AFC. However, would the Raiders ever trade someone as good as Adams to a divisional foe? Well, if the Chargers have the best offer, then they might consider it. Adams probably only has a year or two of elite play left in his tank, and the Raiders aren’t going to seriously compete in 2023 or 2024. If they believe Adams’ window of dominance won’t interfere with their rebuild, then they could trade him to the Chargers
Kansas City Chiefs
See above. The Kansas City Chiefs desperately need a proven receiver, as this offense is one Travis Kelce injury away from catastrophe. The Chiefs would need to completely outbid the competition for Adams’ services, but he might be worth the high price. The Chiefs have the chance to be the first repeat Super Bowl champions since the 2003-2004 New England Patriots, and they should be doing everything they can to capitalize on that opportunity.
