Move over Simpsons, Prince Akeem saw the future this time.
In the 1988 classic “Coming To America,” Eddie Murphy’s character described an outcome eerily reminiscent of last night’s result, 35 years ago.
“Sir, I was wondering, did you happen to catch the professional football contest on television last night?” Akeem asked his boss in the movie.
“Oh, it was most exhilarating. The Giants of New York took on the Packers of Green Bay and in the end, the Giants triumphed by kicking an oblong ball made of pigskin through a Big H,” he explained. “It was a most ripping victory.”

To have it align where the game between the two NFC powers was not only at night, but ended on a last minute field goal made by the Giants is the kind of stuff that’ll have you thinking life is a simulation.
Monday night’s win marked a third straight for Tommy DeVito and the G-Men who won just two games over the first 10 weeks.
