On the heels of a gritty 30-27 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur summed it up best.
“It wasn’t our cleanest game I would say, but I thought the ability to find a way to get it done, ultimately, that’s what it’s all about,” he said.
First things first, coming out of the win, there is some concern surrounding Jordan Love, who suffered a non-contact groin injury on the very first offensive drive. He later aggravated the injury after taking a slight hit from Jaguars edge rusher Travon Walker at the start of the second half. Love was unable to continue and was replaced by backup Malik Willis.
Fortunately, Willis has performed admirably this season when filling in for Love. He certainly did on Sunday, orchestrating the game-winning drive with under two minutes remaining, setting up a chip-shot game-winner for kicker Brandon McManus.
Green Bay hopes to get good news on Love, but it very well could be Willis under center next week against the Detroit Lions. However, before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let’s look at the standouts from their win in Jacksonville.
