Can the Badgers pull off the improbable on Friday night?
Fresh off an 87-56 victory over the Appalachian State Mountaineers, the Wisconsin Badgers are taking on the Arizona Wildcats on Friday, with tip-off set for 8:00 p.m. at the Kohl Center.
The Badgers started off slow again last Sunday, but quickly evened things out, going on a 24-0 run and ultimately pulling off a 51-point second half for the blowout victory.
It was a better overall performance for the Badgers on the perimeter, as Steven Crowl led the way with 17 points, exploiting the 1-on-1 matchups against the opponents’ bigs to be Wisconsin’s leading scorer in the blowout win.
Against Arizona, Wisconsin faces a tough challenge, as they’re looking to overpower the Badgers on the offensive end with their pace. Wisconsin, on the other hand, is looking to slow down the Wildcats’ high-powered offense with a strong start, keeping them in the game through the early outlook.
Wisconsin is set to host each of its first five games of the season, which continues with the Wildcats on Friday and continues along with UT Rio Grande Valley next Monday.
