The Badgers quarterback broke down his Penn State performance and looked ahead to this week’s game.
Fresh off a 28-13 loss to the No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions, the Wisconsin Badgers are heading back on the road for a major rivalry game this weekend, as they face off against the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday, with kickoff slated for 6:30 p.m. at Kinnick Stadium.
It was a hard-fought game for the Badgers this weekend, who played close for three quarters before Penn State pulled away for a double-digit lead at Camp Randall Stadium. As a result, they fall to 5-3 on the season and 3-2 in the conference.
Ahead of this week, quarterback Braedyn Locke spoke with reporters, breaking down his performance from Week 9 and looking ahead to this weekend’s matchup against Iowa.
Locke didn’t have the most productive day statistically, throwing for 217 yards and an interception against Penn State, while completing 22/42 of his passes.
However, the quarterback dealt with a number of drops from slot receivers Will Pauling and Trech Kekahuna in the first half, which led to derailed drives and missed opportunities. He later threw an inopportune pick-six deep in Wisconsin’s territory that flipped the lead in Penn State’s favor in the third quarter.
Now, Locke will look to bounce back against Iowa in a reunion game for him, as his first extended action came against the Hawkeyes last year when Tanner Mordecai left with a broken hand. Can the Badgers pull off the upset?
