The Badgers had opportunities, but couldn’t capitalize enough in a tough loss at home to Penn State.
The Wisconsin Badgers dropped their first game in a month as they lost 28-13 to the No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday evening at Camp Randall Stadium, falling to 5-3 on the season.
It was a hard-fought game from Wisconsin, who were able to stay competitive through three quarters, but ultimately couldn’t pull off the victory in a tough game on Saturday.
Offensively, Wisconsin struggled to get their run game going, as lead back Tawee Walker went for just 59 yards on 22 carries, while quarterback Braedyn Locke turned the ball over and completed just 52 percent of his passes in the loss.
Defensively, the Badgers held up well for most of the game, leading at halftime against a top team in the nation, but had difficulties with backup quarterback Beau Pribula in the second half as they lost momentum in the double-digit loss to Penn State.
Speaking to reporters following the game, head coach Luke Fickell pointed out the tough nature of the game, pointing out the difficulties in the fourth quarter after a close game for much of the contest.
