The Badgers have a massive match at the Field House on Saturday.
When it comes to matchups circled on the calendar, Friday’s match is definitely on that list. The No. 7 Wisconsin Badgers are hosting the No. 2 Nebraska Cornhuskers in a major match between top-10 teams on Friday evening, with first serve set for 8:00 p.m. at the UW Field House.
Coming off a 3-0 sweep over the No. 10 Purdue Boilermakers, the Badgers are looking to pull off a big upset on Saturday, and they’ve been playing their best volleyball as of late.
Wisconsin is currently on a nine-match win streak, with seven coming via sweep, as their record currently is 15-4. In addition, they’re 9-1 in the conference, with their lone loss coming in a close 3-2 match against the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
They face a 20-1 Nebraska team that has racked off 17 straight wins, which has led to a 10-0 conference record thus far.
The Cornhuskers’ only loss was a 3-0 sweep to the SMU Mustangs earlier in the season, but they’ve been on a tear since then, with 13 of those 17 wins coming via sweep.
Can the Badgers continue their recent winning streak against a tough opponent on Friday afternoon?
