Can the Badgers make it seven straight on Saturday in their first trip to Los Angeles?
Fresh off a 70-68 win over the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Wisconsin Badgers are heading out to the West Coast for the first time for a matchup with the USC Trojans on Saturday, with tip-off set for 2:00 p.m.
The Badgers, standing at 14-3, are currently 4-2 in conference play, as they notched their fourth win in conference play in a thriller against Ohio State on Tuesday.
Wisconsin had a strong start, jumping out to a 37-20 lead by halftime, as center Steven Crowl continued his strong play as of late with 10 points in the early period, while the Badgers held the Buckeyes to just 32.1 percent from the field and 14.3 percent from three.
However, the Buckeyes crawled back with a strong second half offensively, scoring 48 points in the final period. It wasn’t good enough though, as the Badgers sealed the deal with free throws to maintain their winning streak.
Now, Wisconsin turns its attention to USC, which is in its first year under head coach Eric Musselman. The Trojans have gone 11-6, including 3-3 in conference play, while winning their past two games.
The Buckeyes most recently dropped a two-point game to the No. 15 Oregon Ducks, which came after a win over Minnesota and a loss to Michigan State.
USC is coming off a 99-89 win over Iowa, which came after an 83-73 victory over No. 13 Illinois. Star Desmond Claude shined in both games, scoring 31 points and 25 points, respectively, to lead the Trojans to wins.
