The Badgers have a different challenge ahead of them on Tuesday night.
Fresh off a 75-69 win over the Northwestern Wildcats, the Wisconsin Badgers are back at home to start the week, facing off against the Indiana Hoosiers, with tip-off set for 8:00 p.m. at the Kohl Center on Tuesday.
Wisconsin bounced back from their 76-68 loss to the Maryland Terrapins by finishing off their road trip strong over the weekend, as John Tonje and Carter Gilmore led the way with 27 and 15 points, respectively.
It was a rough shooting start for the Badgers, who started the game 2/16 from the field before Tonje brought them back in the first half. Then, Gilmore was the hero in the second half, scoring all of his 15 points in the period, while knocking down three threes.
Now, the Badgers enter a matchup against an Indiana Hoosiers team that has gone 14-8 on the year and 5-6 in conference play, most recently losing four of their last five games.
They’re led by transfer center Oumar Ballo, who has averaged 14.5 points and 10 rebounds per game this year coming in from the Arizona Wildcats.
Indiana has been wildly inconsistent this year, but they recently played Purdue to a five-point game, while also having a number of one-score games thus far.
The Badgers come into Wednesday as a 9.5-point favorite at home. Can they start the week off with a victory?
