The Badgers have a tough road test against the Terrapins on Wednesday.
Fresh off an 83-55 win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Wisconsin Badgers are heading back on the road for a matchup with the Maryland Terrapins on Wednesday, with tip-off set for 6:00 p.m.
The Badgers, standing at 16-4, are currently 6-3 in conference play, having bounced back from an 85-83 loss to the UCLA Bruins last Tuesday.
Wisconsin had a strong start, getting out to a 19-2 lead early before Nebraska came back. But, after that, the Badgers had one of their more consistent outings of the season, dominating over the final 30 minutes to win by 28 at the Kohl Center.
John Tonje had a second straight efficient performance, scoring 27 points on 9/19 from the field, while hitting five threes. Behind him, John Blackwell had 14, while Kamari McGee poured in 11 off the bench en route to an 83-point outing for the Badgers.
Now, Wisconsin turns its attention to Maryland, which has enjoyed a quality start to the season, starting off 16-5, including 6-4 in conference play.
The Terrapins are riding a three-game winning streak, beating the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Illinois Fighting Illini, and Indiana Hoosiers, with the latter coming off a buzzer-beater.
