The Badgers have a get-right game ahead of them on Tuesday.
Fresh off a disappointing 77-73 overtime loss to the Oregon Ducks, the No. 11 Wisconsin Badgers are rounding out their road trip with a matchup against the Washington Huskies, with tip-off set for 8:00 p.m. at the Kohl Center.
After blasting through with a 21-point blowout last Tuesday over the Illinois Fighting Illini, Wisconsin looked in great shape against the Ducks before blowing a 16-point lead in the second half, ultimately losing in overtime.
It was an ugly end for the Badgers, who turned the ball over 11 times in the second half, including four in the final 2:02, as they couldn’t hold their lead and maintain composure against Oregon’s ball pressure.
Now, the Badgers enter a matchup against a Washington Huskies team that has gone 13-14 on the year and a Big Ten worst 4-12 in conference play, most recently losing back-to-back games against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights and Iowa Hawkeyes.
The Huskies are led by forward Great Osobor, who leads Washington in four key categories: points (15.0), rebounds (8.7), assists (3.4), and steals (1.9) per game.
Behind him, guards Tyler Harris and Zoom Diallo are the lone other double-digit scorers for a Huskies team that ranks second-to-last in the Big Ten in scoring.
The Huskies have struggled in their first season in the Big Ten, but they’ve picked up conference wins over Minnesota, Northwestern, and Penn State in February after starting Big Ten play 1-8.
The Badgers come into Tuesday as a 15.5-point favorite at home. Will they play up to expectations and get a blowout victory over Washington?
