Former Wisconsin Badgers point guard Daniel Freitag has committed to the Buffalo Bills, he announced on Thursday evening.

A four-star recruit in the Class of 2024, Freitag was one of the highest-rated recruits to ever commit to the Badgers in the Greg Gard era.
He was expected to be the point guard of the future at Wisconsin, and that timeline seemed to accelerate when former point guard Chucky Hepburn entered the transfer portal last offseason.
However, that never materialized, as Freitag averaged just 2.0 minutes per game over 14 contests, with senior Kamari McGee being the lone true point guard in the rotation in 2024.
Then, after conversations with Gard after the season, the former four-star elected to enter the transfer portal to seek more playing time.
Now, he has his next destination: Buffalo. The Bulls went 9-22 last year, including 4-14 in conference play, which ranked second-to-last in the MAC.
There are expected to be minutes available, as three of Buffalo’s top four guards are either out of eligibility or are entering the transfer portal, so Freitag should have a chance to compete for playing time next season.
