The Badgers lost another one of their commits on Thursday.
The Wisconsin Badgers have lost another commit in their 2025 class, as three-star outside linebacker Brenden Anes has flipped to the Tennessee Volunteers, he announced on Thursday.

Anes, a native of Tennessee, is heading to his home-state team, and becomes the second commit to de-commit from the Badgers recently, as three-star defensive lineman Wilnerson Telemaque made the same decision earlier this week.
Anes had been a longtime commit of Wisconsin’s, as he had committed to the program back in January following a junior day visit.
But, it seems as if the appeal of staying closer to home made more sense for the three-star linebacker, leading to a flip.
Anes’s de-commitment leaves the Badgers with 23 commits in their 2025 class, while the team now has two outside linebackers: three-stars Samuel Lateju and Nicholas Clayton.
The Badgers had desired to go for three at the position back in the summer, and had targets Jayden Woods and Jayden Loftin scheduled for official visits.
Now, with this news, it’s unknown whether they’ll open up another spot in their class for an outside linebacker or continue forward with two at the position.
