In a surprising turn of events, Wisconsin Badgers quarterback Marshall Howe announced that he’ll be transferring after one year in Madison.
Taking to Twitter, Howe shared that its not a reflection of the school but a decision that he had to make “in my personal best interest.”
Late last week I made one of the most difficult decisions of my life in entering the transfer portal. The decision is not at all a reflection of the University of Wisconsin or the football program as I believe there is great success is on the horizon, but is one I had to make in my personal best interest and to achieve my goals. I would not trade my one year in Madison for the world and have thoroughly enjoyed my time with this team. I am grateful to have learned from Coach Fickell, Coach Longo and the rest of the UW staff this year.

A two-star prospect out of Avon, Connecticut, Howe didn’t see the field at all as a freshman.
Prior to joining the Badgers, the 6-foot-1 QB received offers from Davidson and Eastern Illinois.
