The Badgers are losing two key wideouts to the transfer portal.
The Wisconsin Badgers portal attrition continues onwards, as starting wide receivers Will Pauling and C.J. Williams are entering the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

Pauling, a redshirt junior this past season, saw his production take a hit in 2024, as he caught just 42 passes for 407 yards and three touchdowns after catching 74 passes for 837 yards and six scores in 2023.
Dealing with a number of injuries, as well as inconsistencies at the quarterback position, Pauling didn’t have the season he had hoped for, which was compiled with a number of drops as well.
Williams, on the other hand, had 16 catches for 248 yards and two touchdowns, which were all career-highs. Starting a handful of games opposite Vinny Anthony, the former USC transfer saw ample playing time, but didn’t get significant volume in the passing game, ranking fifth on the team in receptions.
Both players will spend their senior seasons elsewhere, providing a big hit to the Badgers’ receiving core that will also lose Bryson Green.
Wisconsin has been active with offers and scheduled visits in the transfer portal, while also retaining slot wideout Trech Kekahuna after he initially entered the portal.
But, they’ll need to make some moves at the position after losing two projected starters for the 2025 season.
