Howard, a three-star recruit from Chicago, Illinois, was initially a big recruiting win for head coach Luke Fickell back in the 2023 recruiting class, as Wisconsin managed to earn a commitment over a hefty offer list.
However, through two seasons at Wisconsin, Howard could never crack into the defensive line rotation, despite there being a lack of depth at the position.
At 6’3, 320 pounds, Howard was seen more in a nose tackle role, and did not record a snap in either of his two seasons with the Badgers.
He’ll move on with three years of eligibility, and becomes the 12th recruit from Wisconsin’s 2023 recruiting class to move on from the program after just two seasons.
With Howard’s departure, only tight end Tucker Ashcraft and linebackers Tyler Jansey and Christian Alliegro remain in Wisconsin’s 2023 class.
