The Badgers added another major wide receiver threat to their core via the transfer portal.
The Wisconsin Badgers are continuing to make moves in the transfer portal, as they received a commitment from Idaho star wide receiver Mark Hamper on Friday.
Good way to start the morning: the #Badgers have landed a commitment from Idaho WR Mark Hamper. https://t.co/AoBkGJ03LJ

Hamper, a 6’2, 210-pound redshirt freshman, broke out as a full-time starter in 2024, catching 48 passes for 966 yards and six touchdowns, averaging over 20 yards per catch in a monster year.
He provides extra depth along the boundary and becomes the second wide receiver to transfer to Wisconsin this offseason, joining Ohio State wideout Jayden Ballard.
After losing some significant depth to the transfer portal and the NFL, the Badgers have now replenished their wide receiver core.
On the outside, Hamper, Ballard, and Vinny Anthony lead the way for Wisconsin, with the latter having inside/outside versatility. There’s depth within the group too, as former Boston College transfer Joe Griffin Jr. could play a role, as could Quincy Burroughs and even true freshman Eugene Hilton Jr.
In the slot, Trech Kekahuna and Kyan Berry-Johnson could be the top options, with a mix of Anthony in there as well, given his speed and familiarity with the position.
Most importantly, Wisconsin has depth at the position and a number of deep threats to run offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes’s system, which involves a good amount of vertical shots.
Hamper is the latest to join the program, becoming the 13th transfer portal commit thus far for Wisconsin in the cycle.
