The Badgers have gotten another addition to their 2026 recruiting class.
The Wisconsin Badgers added to their 2026 recruiting class on Sunday with the commitment of three-star offensive lineman Maddox Cochrane, he announced in an X post.

“First off, I’d like to thank God, my family, and my friends because none of this would have been possible without them,” Cochrane wrote. “Thank you to my parents who have spent countless hours making sure I get what I need, whether it be rides to training and practice or cooking food or taking me around the country on visits. Thank you to my current teammates who work hard and inspire me with their dedication to the sport. Thank you to all the coaches who have helped me through this process and treated me with nothing but kindness and respect. Thank you to my coaches back home for helping me through everything.
“Most importantly, thank you to all the coaches and staff at Wisconsin that took a chance on me and have decided to give me an amazing opportunity to develop and play at the highest level with them during my college career. With that being said, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be playing at the University of Wisconsin.”
Cochrane, a native of Virginia, is the sixth addition to Wisconsin’s 2026 recruiting class, and the second offensive lineman, joining three-star Benjamin Novak.
He made his first trip to Madison this weekend and ultimately committed to the program, adding another piece to A.J. Blazek’s recruiting class. The Badgers aren’t expected to take as many offensive linemen in the 2026 class, so it’s notable that two of those spots have been filled with the additions of Cochrane and Novak.
Cochrane stands 6’7, 280 pounds, and got his scholarship offer from the Badgers over a year ago. He had scheduled official visits to Wisconsin, Duke, Rutgers, and Virginia Tech.
Now, he’s the latest member of the Badgers 2026 recruiting class, which is starting to shape out with some big recruiting weekends.
