Wisconsin has gone heavy on defensive linemen in the transfer portal.
The Wisconsin Badgers nabbed their third defensive lineman in the transfer portal, securing a commitment from UT-Martin transfer Charles Perkins, who announced his decision on Monday.

Perkins, a 6’3, 300-pound defensive tackle, accumulated 40 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks for UT-Martin as a redshirt sophomore this past season.
That came after a redshirt freshman campaign where Perkins had 24 tackles and four sacks for the Skyhawks.
He’ll bring two years of eligibility with him to Wisconsin and is the third defensive lineman to join the Badgers in the transfer portal, coming in alongside Tulane transfer Parker Petersen and Western Michigan transfer Corey Walker.
The Badgers are looking to get bigger up front and were in major need of numbers along the defensive line, as they lost top players James Thompson Jr. and Curt Neal to the transfer portal, while starter Elijah Hills is also out of eligibility.
Martin and Petersen are both at least 300 pounds, and will provide some much-needed size and depth to the room.
Martin becomes the sixth commit to join the Badgers via the transfer portal alongside Petersen, Walker, outside linebacker Mason Reiger, tight end Tanner Koziol, and quarterback Danny O’Neil.
