The Badgers are bringing a transfer wideout to campus on a visit.
The Wisconsin Badgers pursuit of a transfer portal wide receiver is continuing next week, as West Georgia wideout Karmello English is heading to Madison for a visit on Monday, according to his agency, per Rivals.
English, a former four-star recruit in the Class of 2023, caught 48 passes for 693 yards and two touchdowns at West Georgia this past season.
He started his career at Michigan, appearing in six games as a freshman, while catching one pass for four yards and a touchdown in 2023. Then, he transferred to West Georgia last offseason, where he broke out before entering the transfer portal for a second consecutive offseason.
Standing 6’0, 182 pounds, English would add depth to a Badgers wide receiver room that lost Mark Hamper and Quincy Burroughs to the transfer portal this week.
Currently, Wisconsin has eight scholarship wide receivers, and they’ve been reaching out to a few transfer portal wideouts, with English being the first reported visit next week.
English has two years of eligibility remaining at his next destination.
